Cullet, which is delivered to the factory by trucks, is immediately classified into 4 quality categories at the entrance (based upon the quantity of impurities). Magnetic waste is removed from the glass using a magnetic device and solid waste is removed manually on sorting lines. Cullet is crushed to the optimal size. Large pieces of glass and foreign objects are removed by sifting. Nonmagnetic waste, stone, porcelain and ceramics are removed by special devices. The separation of various colors of glass from mixed cullet – white, brown, green and blue – is performed by selecting the appropriate program on the Clarity Plus glass separation machine. After one more quality control, the cleaned cullet is stored in cullet boxes.
